Richard Dodding
Richard Dodding holds both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in
Education with a focus on Communications and Curriculum Design, from
the University of British Columbia.
He has taught for over 20 years in public schools in Canada and Kenya, and has served as Director of two secondary schools. He has also served as a Faculty Associate and Sessional Lecturer at Simon Fraser University.
Richard is presently Chief Executive Officer of an international organization that enables leaders in cities around the world to hold conferences that raise awareness of global needs which are educational, medical, social and spiritual and how to reach out. He is also Executive Director of the International Teachers Institute.
Richard is married to Arlene.
Merlie McGee
Merlie McGee is the director of the China program. She has lived in
China on two separate occasions, teaching English at university level.
She has also led teams to Northwest China in 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2002.
Merlie holds a B.Ed degree from the University of Victoria and has over thirty years of teaching experience. Her special area of interest is in Language Arts. She has designed curriculum for Christian schools and led professional development workshops in Language Arts and Mission Preparation.
She is currently living and teaching in Victoria.
Arlene Dodding
Arlene Dodding holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree from the
University of British Columbia and a Masters of Science degree from
the University of Oregon, with a focus on Educational Administration.
Arlene has taught for 33 years in secondary schools in Canada and Kenya and adult education in Canada. She is retired from Principal of Continuing Education of the Maple Ridge School District #42 in British Columbia where she supervised over 60 teachers and 1200 students.
She lives near Vancouver, has two married daughters (both of whom are teachers), three grandchildren, and has been married to Richard for 40 years.
